Winston Choi previous appearance with the Festival was in 2004 in the Ravel Piano Concerto in G with Victor Yampolsky conducting.

Stavinsky's Pulcinella Suite was first performed at PMF in 1960 with Thor Johnson conducting and most recently in 1996 with Stephen Alltop conducting.

The Stravinsky Concerto for Piano and Wind Instruments was performed once previously: in 1994 with Ursula Oppens, pianist, and John Paynter conducting.

The Bach Piano Concerto in d minor was first performed in 1960 with Mary Margaret Rau and most recently in 1967 with Mary Sauer, both with Thor Johnson conducting.
