Previous PMF Performances
PMF Concertmaster Igor Yuzefovich has appeared as soloist previously in 2011 in the Mozart Violin Concerto No. 5 and 2013 in the Bach Violin Concerto in E Major and the Violin and Oboe Concerto. This performance of three pieces for violin and orchestra by Tchaikovsky are the first PMF performances.
Also being heard for the first time at PMF: Tchaikovsky's Waltz from Eugen Onegin and the five works on tonight's program by Johann Strauss, Jr.
The Glazunov Valse de concert No. 2 was previously performed in 1998. Sibelius' Valse triste was first performed in 1958 and most recently in 1999.
