This is Vadim Gluzman's PMF debut.

Beethoven's Egmont Overture was first performed at the Festival in 1976 and most recently in 1995. This is the 8th performance of the Fourth Symphony; it was first performed in 1954 and most recently in 2001. Tonght's performance of the Brahms Violin Concerto is the sixth at the PMF. It was first performed in the first season, 1953, with Raymond Gniewek, violin, and Thor Johnson conducting. The most recent performance was in 2000 with James Ehnes and Victor Yampolsky conducting.
